What role do state court leaders play in supporting public policy that affects the administration of justice?
The National Center for State Courts and The Pew Center on the States are co-sponsoring a conference May 8 – 9 in Philadelphia, PA for the chief justices of the state supreme courts and state court administrators to explore this issue. “The Role of State Court Leaders in Supporting Public Policy that Affects the Administration of Justice” will focus on emerging issues, such as the growing elder population, to highlight the importance of judicial leadership in supporting public policy.


The Court’s Role in Reducing the Incidence of Impaired Driving 

With the support of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and a distinguished focus group of judges and judicial educators, the National Center for State Courts has created an online resource for general-jurisdiction judges on impaired driving. More
