What We Do

 

The challenges facing court systems are enormous. Caseloads are up. Technology is exploding. Social issues are more complex. Communities are demanding greater accountability in the judiciary. Operating costs are under ever-closer scrutiny by cash-strapped states and units of local government. Now, more than ever, your court needs knowledgeable, cost-effective assistance in meeting these challenges. There is no single more qualified source of help than the National Center for State Courts Court Consulting Services.

The Court Consulting Services Division (CCS) maintains a cadre of experts skilled in a variety of disciplines—court administration, strategic planning, law, judicial facility planning, adult education, information technology, and statistics.  Each member of our team possesses a practical understanding of how state court systems and various levels and types of courts operate, from general jurisdiction trial courts to state, county, and municipal limited-jurisdiction trial courts to drug courts and other problem-solving courts to intermediate appellate courts and courts of last resort.

Our diversity allows CCS to field the expertise and skills for each assignmentlarge, small, or in betweenthat best meet the needs and concerns of each client.
