REGISTRANTS COURSE START TIME IS FROM DATE OF THEIR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT FOR A 3-MONTH DURATION.
Effective and efficient caseflow management is an essential component of court operations. This course is designed to build a sequential understanding of the fundamentals of caseflow management and the skill sets necessary to perform effective case management. In this course participants will:
- Assess the effectiveness of your courts caseflow management system and learn how to develop a system that ensures timely and just disposition of all cases in collaboration with the stakeholders.
- Learn the fundamentals of caseflow management including strategies to create or enhance your courts caseflow management program.
- Learn how to put in place an effective differentiated case management DCM plan.
- Be able to reduce the size and age of their pending case inventory and streamline caseflow processes by adopting the fundamentals taught in this class.
This course organizes the broad concepts of caseflow management into thirteen units each containing a video segment accompanying a PowerPoint presentation and a self-assessment exercise addressing unit competencies. There are various resources provided for each unit including readings exercises and video clips. Course assignments are reviewed by faculty with feedback to reinforce the learning objectives. Monthly telephone conference calls offer the opportunity for participants to discuss caseflow issues with faculty and other course participants.
Participants have access to the course materials for three months from the date of registration and payment. In order to receive certification credit for Phase I of CEDP or CMP participants will be required to do the following:
1. Complete all self-assessment quizzes with a minimum of 70% accuracy. 2. Complete and submit all course assignments. 3. Complete and submit the course evaluation survey. 4. Request a certificate from the ICM Registrar via email.
